Harvey Fuqua led a long and successful life. At 80 years old he worked with some of the most timeless faces in RnB music history. Fuqua started out in the business as a singer for the prominent 50's vocal group the Moonglows. He later went on to work with such prolific artists as Etta James, The Supremes, Smokey Robinson, and Marvin Gaye.
It was no surprise that Fuqua grew up to the be such a part of the music industry. He grew up in a musical family under the influence of his uncle, Charlie Fuqua who was a popular member of the group the Inskpots during the 20's and 30's.
During his life he had many ups and downs. This included drug problems, relationship problems, and tax problems. However, he had plenty of success to combat the bad times. As a producer, singer, songwriter, and Motown label executive, Fuqua was able to launch some of the most successful RnB careers of all time. He will be greatly missed.
