Iconic Album Reckless To Be Reissued With Seven Previously Unreleased Tracks To Celebrate 30th Anniversary on November 24

Announces Reckless 30th Anniversary Tour

(Wednesday, 08 October 2014 – Toronto, ON) – Iconic multi-platinum recording-artist Bryan Adams’ first studio album in more than six years, Tracks Of My Years has debuted atop Nielsen SoundScan’s Top Album Chart with near 14,000 sales in its first week of release.  A diverse collection of time honoured classics from the ‘50s, ‘60s and ‘70s, Tracks Of My Years was released on September 30 through Universal Music Canada (UMC), the country’s leading music company. Co-produced by Adams, David Foster and Bob Rock, Tracks Of My Years includes ten cover songs featuring a wide range of influential musical styles, from Chuck Berry’s ‘Rock & Roll Music’, Ray Charles’ ‘I Can’t Stop Loving You’ to the Beatles’ ‘Any Time At All’.  The album also includes a brand new track, ‘She Knows Me’ co-written with his long-time writing partner Jim Vallance.  The Adams/Vallance partnership was responsible for many of Adams’ classic hits including ‘Heaven’, ‘Summer of ‘69’ and ‘Run To You’. Tracks Of My Years, the first studio release from Adams since Eleven in 2008, is an eclectic mix of songs reflective of the time when rock was played alongside pop, country and R&B, and follows Adams’ critically-acclaimed acoustic album, 2010’s Bare Bones a release that resulted in sold out shows across Europe, North America, Australia and South Africa. As previously announced, UMC is set to re-release Bryan Adams’ game-changing record Reckless on 24 November 2014.  The re-release features a lavish four-disc super-deluxe edition of Reckless housed in a DVD case-sized hardback book that will include the 2014 re-mastered audio and seven bonus tracks, the BBC in Concert Hammersmith Odeon live concert performance recorded in April of 1985, and a DVD of Reckless - The Movie, which was a first at the time, as it was an accompanying release alongside the Reckless album and was shot by the legendary Director, Steve Barron (Dire Straits, Aha, Michael Jackson).  The movie features videos from Reckless interspersed with scenes linking the tracks.  The fourth disc in the super-deluxe edition is a Blu-Ray Pure Audio™ recording of the original album and a stereo mix re-mastered this year. Originally released in 1984, Reckless produced a record six hits: ‘Run to You’, ‘Kids Wanna Rock’, ‘Somebody’, ‘Summer of '69’, ‘One Night Love Affair’, and ‘It's Only Love’, a duet with the incomparable Tina Turner.  Reckless also gave Bryan his first U.S. #1 on Billboard with ‘Heaven’ as well as a Diamond Award for over a million copies sold in Canada.  The album was the turning point in Adams' career, resulting in his hugely successful World Wide in '85 Tour. To celebrate the anniversary of the multi-million selling album, Adams will be hitting the road with his full band in January and February and performing a set that will honour not only the 30th Anniversary of Reckless, but also his endless catalogue of rock classics.
