CHAD BROWNLEE TEAMS UP WITH THE TIM HORTON CHILDREN’S FOUNDATION
ALL ARTIST PROCEEDS FROM DIGITAL SALE OF NEW TRACK “WE DON’T WALK THIS ROAD ALONE” TO BE DONATED TO FOUNDATION
TORONTO, ON- 28 MAY 2014 - On June 4, Canadian country star Chad Brownlee will join the Tim Horton Children’s Foundation (THCF) on a one day journey across Canada as part of Tim Hortons Camp Day festivities. Brownlee will kick off the day in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, making stops in Toronto, Ontario and Calgary, Alberta and finishes off in his hometown of Langley, British Columbia. In each city, Brownlee will touch down at a Tim Hortons restaurant to perform for fans and Camp Day supporters. The THCF was established in 1974 by Ron Joyce, Co-Founder of the Tim Hortons chain, to honour Tim Horton’s love for children and his desire to help those less fortunate. To support the Foundation, each year on Camp Day, Tim Hortons restaurant owners donate 100 per cent of the proceeds from coffee sales to help send kids to camp, making it the Foundation’s largest annual fundraiser. Brownlee’s Camp Day performances will include a new song, “We Don’t Walk This Road Alone” written exclusively for the Foundation. Brownlee recorded the track and filmed the video with children involved with the Foundation at Revolution Studios in Toronto and at one of their camps, Tim Horton Onondaga Farms, in St. George, Ontario. All artist proceeds for “We Don’t Walk This Road Alone” will be donated to THCF and is available for purchase digitally now. The track will also be featured on Brownlee’s upcoming album THE FIGHTERS, out June 03 and ready for pre-order here. Over the past three years, Brownlee has visited THCF camps in Canada and the U.S., teaching kids about music and the importance of following your dreams. At the end of the June 4 cross-Canada trip, in partnership with Larrivee Guitars, Chad will auction off the 2 guitars played from the day’s performances for THCF. Former NHL draft pick turned country star, Chad Brownlee entered the limelight when he received his CCMA Rising Star Award in 2011 and has gone on to have many singles crack the top 10 at country radio, including “Smoke In The Rain”, “Crash” and “Listen”. In 2012 Brownlee toured across Canada with Dierks Bentley and the following year, he co-headlined the “Your Town Throwdown” tour with fellow Canadian country artists Deric Ruttan and Jason Blaine.
