MIA MARTINA SELF-TITLED ALBUM SET FOR OCTOBER 14 RELEASE

MiaMartina

02 SEPTEMBER 2014 (Toronto, ON) – Canadian-made international dance music sensation Mia Martina today announces the October 14 release of her self-titled sophomore album via CP Records/Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company. The New Brunswick-born, trilingual songwriter has charted with the 2014 JUNO-nominated Heartbreaker and the gold-selling, MMVA-nominated Danse from this latest release and this weekend unveiled her explicit new single HFH (Heart Fuckin Hurts), along with its arresting lyric video. Pre-order for Mia Martina begins today, whereupon fans will receive HFH as both audio and video, with further singles and videos to launch in the weeks to come. Written and recorded in Toronto, Los Angeles, Miami, and Moscow, the album exemplifies Martina’s global vision. “I come from a small town and my dreams have come true through my music, which has taken me around the world and allowed me to meet countless inspiring people. My songs, my videos, and my albums are all passports for connecting to the world. This has only been a joy to make and I can’t wait to travel to new places with my new album.” Martina’s dreams of being a singer began with singing at age four but grew quickly when, as a teen, when she began an internship at CP Records. She showed her ambition and ability, swiftly going from promoting the label’s artists to recording backing vocals to taking centre stage as an artist in her own right. Her debut single, 2010’s Stereo Love would be certified double-platinum and her first live performance would be to six thousand people in Miami. In the following year, Mia Martina would release her first album, Devotion, which would open the doors to new audiences in Germany, France, Romania, Poland, Austria, Turkey, and Greece. Performing alongside superstars such as Pitbull, FloRida, Snoop Doog, Keri Hilson and more, Mia Martina has hundreds of concerts in her still-new international story – and with a SOCAN songwriting award for Pop Single of the Year and JUNO nominations for Dance Recording of the Year in three consecutive years, she is equally celebrated here at home.

Mia Martina’s outlook is summed up in the words she has included in the album’s liner notes: I never stop dreaming, you do the same.
