Since the 1960’s, James Bond theme songs have complimented the films extraordinarily. Past Bond recordings include legendary artists, such as Paul McCartney’s “Live and Let Die” to Tina Turner’s “GoldenEye.” Today marks the day a new Bond song is born: Sam Smith’s “The Writing’s On The Wall” is finally here.

Earlier this month, Smith expressed his excitement for contributing to the iconic list of Bond theme songs, stating “This is one of the highlights of my career. I am honored to finally announce that I will be singing the next Bond theme song.” He went on to say “I am excited to be a part of this iconic British legacy and join an incredible line up of some of my biggest musical inspirations. I hope you all enjoy the song as much as I enjoyed making it.”
This also marks Smith as the first British male solo artists to contribute to a Bond theme song since 1965, when the track from “Thunderball” was recorded by Tom Jones.
