CREAM TO RELEASE THE SINGLES 1967-1970 COLLECTION DECEMBER 4

10 x 7” SINGLES BROUGHT TOGETHER IN DELUXE BOX PACKAGE
16 OCTOBER 2015 (Toronto, ON) – Cream: The Singles 1967-1970 – a superb boxed-set package comprising all ten 7” singles from the original rock power trio, will be released December 4 via Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company. The tracks offer a window to the wilder, widescreen adventures of Cream’s LPs and are all presented here, in glorious mono recordings, which have long since been deleted until now. They are brought together with specially newly designed box and single picture sleeves plus excellent track-by-track liner notes by respected music writer, Daryl Easlea.
As we draw close to the 50th anniversary of Cream’s inception in 1966, this sumptuous set is a fitting tribute to the skills of the three players and a fine homage to Jack Bruce, who sadly passed away in October 2014.
With Cream, Ginger Baker, Jack Bruce, and Eric Clapton set the template for not only the ‘supergroup’ but also the ‘power trio’ with their innate musical virtuosity. They blazed an indelible trail through the latter half of the 1960s with their challenging and exquisite blend of blues, pop and psychedelia.
