23-year old UK vocal Queen, Frances, has been making waves within the industry with her organically beautiful voice and soulful sound. Having already toured with the likes of Sam Smith and James Bay, as well as headlining her own tour, the young artist has already accomplished so much, and is not stopping anytime soon!
The singer/songwriter began playing piano and violin at a young age, and was writing her own music by 15. By 20 years old, she locked down a record deal with Universal Music UK, and has growing her repertoire ever since. Songs like “Say It Again,” “Let It Out,” and “Borrowed Time” became instant favorites among fans, and earned Frances major praise from the biggest names in music. The Fader says of Frances “sharp, honeyed vocals will likely earn her comparisons to the R&B-borrowing pop of fellow Brits Adele & Sam Smith,” where i-D states “Every now and then a vocalist comes along and blows you away, Frances is that vocalist.” The up and coming artist also has a few amazing nominations under her belt, including the Brits’ Critic Choice, as well as the BBC Sound of 2016 Poll. You can catch Frances taking over the festivals of the summer, including Coachella, SxSW, The Great Escape, Bestival, Lollapalloza, as well as having made her Glastonbury debut. Frances will also be performing at Osheaga on July 30th — we can’t wait to see her!
