12 SEPTEMBER 2016 (Toronto, ON) – Today, Canadian Rockers, Sam Roberts Band announced their North American tour with special guests Hollerado, set to commence in Sherbrooke, Quebec November 2. The start of the tour follows a few short days after the release of Sam Roberts Band’s sixth studio album, TERRAFORM, set for release October 28 via Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company. The band has partnered with Plus 1 so that $1 from every ticket will go to support War Child and their work with war-affected communities to help children reclaim their childhood through access to education, opportunity and justice (warchild.ca). TERRAFORM follows 2015’s COUNTING THE DAYS EP and 2014’s album LO-FANTASY and is produced by Graham Walsh of H*ly F*ck and Sam Roberts at the Bathouse Recording Studios, The Tragically Hip’s studio near Kingston, ON. The album is available for pre-order now and each pre-order will receive a unique pre-sale ticket access code for use on select dates of the Sam Roberts Band TerraForm 2016-2017 tour.
Special D2C packages of TERRAFORM are also available to fans which include an exclusive vinyl boxset containing a glow in the dark LP, custom slip mat and lint cloth along with an autographed double-sided litho. Preceding their North American tour, Sam Roberts Band will be joining the musical lineup for the Pepsi World Cup of Hockey Premiere Party at the Scotiabank World Cup of Hockey Fan Village in down Toronto’s historic Distillery District on September 16. Alongside their live performance for fans, the World Cup of Hockey premiere special will be televised at 7pm EST on Sportsnet and TVA (Canada) and ESPN2 (US).
