And with all of that travelling, it’s no wonder the band brings so many international influences to this new album. Remember their awesome music video for “KIDS“? It was actually shot in Mexico City during their travels. In addition “Future Looks Good” features a Brazilian percussionist. Finally, Oh My My includes various sound bites such as claps recorded in Moscow’s Red Square, flamenco dancers in Madrid, and the bells of Big Ben in London!
So with all that said, what can we expect from the boys this time around?
Electro-funk meets alt-rock-pop! The self-titled track “Oh My My” serves up some fun dance vibes, while “Choke” takes us through an emotional break. “Better” fuses so many different musical elements while alluding to the social pressures of today’s society. We love the build up in “All These Things”, and the sweet synth beats drifting in and out of “A.I”. Finally, “Let’s Hurt Tonight” is an epic love song powered by soulful vocals and piercing lyrics.
