Maroon 5 is back, this time teaming up with rapper Kendrick Lamar for their new single “Don’t Wanna Know”.
So, what exactly do the boys not wanna know?
“Don’t Wanna Know” takes us somewhere we’ve all been: dealing with jealousy after a breakup. And Kendrick reminds us that social media is no help:
“No more hashtag boo’d up screenshots”
Ughhh, we totally feel you Kendrick. Breakups blow. But contrary to how sad this all sounds, the track is actually quite upbeat!
“Don’t Wanna Know” has more of a pop-electric-island feel in comparison to a lot of Maroon 5’s other music.
As for Kendrick, he’s like the hot sauce of hip hop. Just a dab, and he brings pure fire to any track (remember T-Swift’s “Bad Blood”?). We’re definitely hoping to see more collabs from the feisty rapper.
