Drake Night & Everything That Came With It

Posted on November 17, 2016

If you’re a basketball fan in any shape or form, you’re probably aware that the Toronto Raptors held their 4th annual Drake Night ball game just last night in the 6ix. The epic night of basketball is definitely a crowd favourite as the Raptors brand ambassador, Drake, unsurprisingly shows up to sit court-side and cheer on the home team. In addition to just being in the presence of TO royalty, every person in the arena is given a limited addition Drake Night t-shirt.

We’ll take 10 of those please!

To say the least, What A Time To Be Alive! The Raptors were unfortunately scheduled to play the Golden State Warriors who are arguably one of the best teams in the league, and coming off a previous loss to the Cleveland Caveliers (aka the NBA League Champs) it was looking like it was going to be a tough game. But we had Coach Drizzy on our side.

It was a great game and the Raps held on for most of the game. In fact, they were leading after the first quarter, but apparently it wasn’t meant to last. The game ended with the Warriors winning 127 -121. It definitely sucks to lose, but if we’re going to be honest, we were mainly just paying attention to Drake the whole night. Flexing on the crowd, Drake decided to rep a Doris Burke sweater to pay tribute to the iconic NBA reporter.

We love when you show love!! Especially when this happened during the halftime show! *heart melting*

That’s right – Young Dylan, the viral internet sensation who performed on Ellen got his chance to perform “Childs Play” for Drake himself. Talk about a no pressure performance! But Young Dylan killed it and Drizzy made sure to let him know.

Apart from Young Dylan’s stellar halftime show, we were also entertained at Drake’s reactions to the Warriors team. Heckling and all LOL

Nobody does it like you Drake, even on the live broadcast!

We ABSOLUTELY appreciate your love of this city!!

Looking forward to the next one. Let us know if you were at the game in the comments below!
