Rihanna Receives Harvard’s Humanitarian of The Year Award

Posted on March 01, 2017

Last week, our girl Rihanna was announced as Harvard University’s 2017 Humanitarian of the Year. And this was literally us. And just yesterday, RiRi was at Harvard College to accept the prestigious honour from some Harvard dignitaries. <3 There were some INCREDIBLY kind words said about her. A senior intern at the Harvard Foundation made sure to underline the importance of both Rihanna and Robyn:

“It is the sheer idea of you…the persona you’ve created …your vibe, your lyrics, your fashion choices and your humanitarian work that inspire us all. But I want take this moment to also thank you, Robyn, for giving up a piece of yourself and your life to Rihanna, so that the rest of us can benefit from her influence.”

Those words are exactly why love QUEEN RIRI so much. And when girlfriend got up to say a few words, she reminded us yet again why she is literally the BEST. YA YOU DID, GIRL! She was recognized as Harvard’s Humanitarian of The Year for her work towards cancer treatment in her hometown of Barbados, as well as creating a scholarship program for Caribbean students to study abroad in the U.S. Watch the whole video below and tweet us why you love Rihanna @umusic! (P.S. RiRi’s speech starts at 1:14:00)

We also suggest bumping Riri’s Anti in celebration of this glorious day!
