The Beaches Rock A 70s Vibe In Their “Money” Music Video

Posted on August 15, 2017

Lay your eyes on Toronto’s latest Rock n Roll band, The Beaches’ brand new “Money” video! The four piece all-girl band that previously toured with Eagles Of Death Metal bring a 70s vibe to their 2017 new release. Check it ⬇️

Gotta say, we feel cool just watching this video! We can’t turn it off. Loving the track too? Best described by Noisey in the band’s video premiere, The Beaches bring a more dressed-up sound to rock, but “[are] more heavily influenced by The Strokes and some tighter, gritty 70s rock riffs.” We think this video perfectly compliments the track — not only because they’re kicking ass, but also because we need their outfits!!! Combining a little high fashion with a splash of thrift shop, The Beaches define cool girl in their “Money” video.

This release has got us so excited for the band’s upcoming album, out later this year! Fun fact: not only this song, but their entire debut album is being produced by Metric‘s own Emily Haines & Jimmy Shawn. In Noisey, The Beaches said:

“We did a session with them last summer. We ended up just hitting it off right away. [] They were working with us as producers rather than co-writers.”

Iconic. You know what our speakers will be blasting when this album drops! ‘Til it does though, give your ears a preview, with “Money.”
