You may remember Gabrielle Shonk from her time on La voix, the French version of the popular American hit TV show, The Voice! Or perhaps, you know her from her first single, “Habit”. Whatever the case may be, Gabrielle is back with another track, “Raindrops” and it has premiered on W Magazine. We couldn’t be more stoked!
Gabrielle tells W Magazine that she started working on “Raindrops” a while ago and that it sounds nothing now like it did in the beginning. Gabrielle described the song as “that acoustic, Sunday- morning jazzy feel”. The acoustic guitar was replaced with an electric one, and we think it’s the perfect choice.
On the meaning of the song, Gabrielle tells W it relates to relationships:
“Where you know things aren’t going that well [and wonder] is this worth pushing through and working through it, or is it just broken, and at the end, and I’m denying it?”
