We cannot get over the cover of Paul Simon’s “Me And Julio Down By The School Yard” performed by Lorde during her set at the Outside Lands Festival in San Francisco. She was joined by fellow Melodrama producer and friend, Jack Antonoff, to perform this classic track.
Lorde is known to slow things down during her festival sets and we are SO GLAD she does. We have never seen her look this happy on stage, covering this track with Jack. Just the two of them, sitting on the side of the stage, with Lorde on the mic (for the most part) and Jack strumming his guitar. Absolutely beautiful.
She is also known for her very expressive performances, but here she seemed to just have FUN with it. She had a smile on her face the whole time and even chuckled at some points! Something we rarely see from the superstar on stage.
Watch the performance below. 👇 We dare you not to smile while the video plays. 💕
Did you hear that high note at :57?! 👌 What about when Jack altered the last line of the song to fit their location?! 😂 We LOVE everything about this!!!
