The Best Moments from James Bay’s Debut Era

Posted on February 05, 2018

An era we don’t want to “let [it] go” of.

We’ve been trying our best to keep our cool since hearing about James Bay’s new music, but something tells us we’ve been doing a terrible job so far. It’s been quite some time since he’s blessed us with new tunes so our excitement is completely justified.

2018 is already shaping up to be quite the year for this British “bae.” Having already chopped off his signature locks and teased potential song lyrics, the suspense has been building for new music to drop. And now that long-awaited announcement has been made – Thursday, February 8th, “Wild Love” will be released. GAH. We truly have no idea what to expect with this new era, but if it’s anything like the last, we’re in for a treat.

So, to get prepped for the new James Bay era, we’re reminiscing on some of his greatest moments thus far.  Here we go!

When he gave One Direction a run for their money.

When he pushed boundaries at the Tonight Show, getting closer to the fans than anyone had ever before.

When he graced the cover of countless magazines.

When he covered some of the best including Alicia Keys…

and HAIM…

and Rihanna.

When he played wingman for his guitarist.

When he released his own Topman collection and proved there is literally nothing he can’t do.

When he ate dinner with GQ and answered all the important questions. Like normal people do.

When he opened for Taylor Swift on tour.

When he blessed us with festival performances like this one in particular.

When he played a terribly cheeky prank on this radio intern in New Zealand.

When he surprised Australian fans with busking on the streets.

When he slayed Halloween with a concert and cool costume.

When he went to his first Grammys and saw all his dreams come true

When he shared the stage with Ed Sheeran

Oh and Justin Bieber. NBD.

When he received an honourary degree for being bae.

When he shared valuable toast expertise.

When he won some awards and accepted them graciously.

When he shared his songwriting secrets.
