MEET: NOTD - The Swedish Duo Behind The Hot Remixes Of Your Fave Songs

Posted on May 11, 2018

Noted: This is just the beginning for NOTD

17-year old Samuel Brandt and 19-year old Tobias Danielsson aren’t your average teenage friends. While keeping up with their high school coursework, they’ve also been busy making waves in the music industry pushing out some of the hottest remixes around. We can pretty much guarantee that you’ve heard at least one of them and now it’s time to get to know the guys behind NOTD.

Defined as DJs/producers/songwriters, Samuel and Tobias have already been featured in Billboard twice and made it into Spotify’s Top 100 Global Chart. Racking up over 50 million streams on Spotify, NOTD have also worked alongside music’s heavy-hitters like Shawn Mendes, Sia, Alessia Cara, Ed Sheeran and more.

Aside from the remixes, the hit-making duo have also begun to release their own original music. The latest tune, “I Wanna Know”, adds another marquee artist to their growing resume: Bea Miller.

Listen to their collab “I Wanna Know” below:

“We started working on it over a year ago and actually put it together kind of quickly in the first session,” NOTD told Your EDM in an interview. “After many months we decided it was going to be released, so we spent an additional week or so to finalize it. Then Bea Miller came in and sang it and brought the song to a whole other level. This song is our favorite song we’ve ever done and pushed really hard to make it happen for a release.”

Samuel & Tobias were in quite a predicament: as high school students, they were still expected to turn in passing grades, but at the same time, they were being presented moments to do remixes for megastars. When DJ Khaled, Rihanna and Bryson Tiller’s “Wild Thoughts” remix opportunity hit their doorstep, they couldn’t turn it down… but Tobi’s English credit was hanging on by a thread.

Watch the hilarious video below to see how NOTD pulled off both:

NOTD’s ability to sprinkle their summer-tinged twist to pop anthems, as well as crafting EDM masterpieces from scratch, should keep them at the front of your radar and the top of your playlist!
