10 points if you knew this

We aren’t even going to pretend we aren’t obsessed with Julia Michaels. We’ve loved her since “Issues”, and her new single “Jump” has been on repeat since its release.

What some people might not know about Julia is that she’s a super talented songwriter. In fact, she’s behind some of your favourite tracks. Case in point, did you know that Julia has co-writing credits on Justin Bieber’s “Sorry”? Many people don’t!

Here are some more songs that you definitely know, but may not know that Julia wrote:

“Close” by Nick Jonas ft. Tove Lo

Julia co-wrote this duet for Nick Jonas and Tove Lo, as well as the song “Chainsaw” off of Nick’s album Last Year Was Complicated.

“Way Too Long” Keith Urban

Julia featured on Keith’s song “Coming Home”, and later paired up with the country star again for Keith’s album Graffiti U, on the songs “Way Too Long” and “Gemini”.

“Love Myself” by Hailee Steinfeld

We love a good self-love ballad, especially from these two. They’re actually pretty good friends, and shared the stage to perform the song together on Niall Horan’s Flicker World Tour earlier this year!

“Party’s Over” by Astrid S

Julia Michaels has also written with Norwegian singer Astrid S for her song “Party’s Over” off the EP of the same name.

“Fire Starter” by Demi Lovato

“Fire Starter” is one of three songs Julia has written on for Demi Lovato. The other two include “Kingdom Come” and “Waitin’ For You”.

“Lips On You” by Maroon 5

Julia also wrote for Maroon 5 on the band’s album Red Pill Blues

“The Feeling” by Justin Bieber ft. Halsey

Along with “Sorry”, Julia wrote another one of the songs on Justin Bieber’s 2015 album Purpose

“Bad Liar” by Selena Gomez

Julia has written on a bunch of Selena songs including “Slow Down”, “Hands to Myself”, and “Good for You”. In an interview for iHeartRadio, Julia said “Bar Liar” is her favourite song she’s written for someone else. We love it too!
