Singer-songwriter Johnny Orlando was born in Mississauga, Ontario in 2003. Like so many great artists before him, Johnny got his start on YouTube. When he was just eight years old, Johnny began uploading covers of various pop songs by artists like Justin Bieber, Shawn Mendes, and Taylor Swift. Many of the covers went viral, amassing several million views and garnering Johnny a huge social media following.
One of his most memorable covers was a rendition of Shawn Mendes’ hit song “Stitches.” You can check that out here:
On the heels of his YouTube success, Johnny signed with Universal Music Canada in 2018. Soon after, he released the single “What If” alongside singer Mackenzie Ziegler. Stream it here:

Soon after the successful release of “What If”, Johnny dropped his second single, “Last Summer”. The song was a resounding follow-up track, charting on the Billboard Top 100 and accumulating millions of views and streams. You can stream “Last Summer” here:

In case you didn’t know, Johnny is an avid vlogger. He regularly uploads video diaries to his channel, often accompanied by his sisters Lauren and Darian. In January 2019, Johnny received a nomination for “Breakthrough Artist of the Year” at the JUNO Awards. In February, Johnny announced that he would release his first studio EP, Teenage Fever.
