Posted on April 18, 2019

“I wanna be your end game…”

We are officially a week away from the release of Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame! In honour of the highly anticipated film release, we’ve put together seven times our faves have crossed into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

1. Taylor Swift x Deadpool

Holiday parties are one of the many things Taylor Swift is known for. For Halloween of 2016, Taylor hosted a party and dressed up as Deadpool.

Despite the fact that Deadpool was never really apart of the MCU, he will be now thanks to the Disney-Fox merger!

Taylor’s costume choice was perfect considering the first Deadpool film premiered in 2016 and she’s friends with Deadpool himself: Ryan Reynolds!

2. The Weeknd x Starboy

Do you own the Starboy comic book?

The Weeknd Presents: Starboy is a comic book by Marvel and The Weeknd, inspired by The Weeknd’s chart-topping album Starboy. The comic follows Jeremiah Starr as he saves the city of Alphatron from the flesh-eating villain, Jack “The Chef” Smiley.

The comic was released in 2018. The Weeknd said it was an absolute dream come true to work alongside the Marvel team!

3. Halsey x Captain Marvel

Halsey attended the Captain Marvel premiere in Los Angeles, California at the beginning of March. Despite her villain-esque outfit, Halsey was entirely head over heels for the film and the hero herself: Captain Marvel.

Halsey took to Twitter to express her love for the female-forward Marvel film. And honestly? We could not relate more.

4. Kendrick Lamar x Black Panther

Kendrick Lamar worked on the Black Panther: The Album project, and thank goodness he did. Despite not being credited on some of the album’s songs, Kendrick has had a hand in every single track. We wouldn’t expect anything less from this musical genius!

“It feels great. I’m not only representing myself, but I’m representing my people … people I’ve been familiar with since I was born. (…) Best believe I’m proud. And I know Ryan [Coogler] is as well.”

5. Niall Horan & Liam Payne x Marvel HQ

Niall Horan and Liam Payne had the opportunity of a lifetime a few years ago when they were invited to Marvel HQ. At Marvel HQ, they were able to explore original Marvel comics, meet the team, and geek out.

6. Marvin Gaye, George Harrison, (& more..) x Guardians of The Galaxy

Peter Quill (or Star-Lord, the ‘leader’ of the Guardians of The Galaxy team) is known for carrying around his cassette player and listening to all of our original musical faves. Both Guardians of The Galaxy films and soundtracks feature classic songs from artists like: Marvin Gaye, George Harrison, Glen Campbell, Parliament, The Runaways, Raspberries, and Tammi Terrell.

7. Ariana Grande x Captain Marvel & Nick Fury

Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury) and Brie Larson (Carol Danvers / Captain Marvel) were Carpool Karaoke-ing 7 Rings by Ariana Grande.

Did you ever think you would witness Samuel L. Jackson singing along to an Ariana Grande song?
