Happy Mother’s Day to These Iconic Artists!

Posted on May 09, 2019

Mother’s Day is approaching and we want to celebrate our fave artists who happen to be moms. Not only do these women have a history of dominating music charts, but they are also hardworking moms with adorable children.

YOUR mom is a hardworking mom with at least one (😉) adorable child, so make sure you send her this article and one of the Madonna, Carrie Underwood, Gwen Stefani, or Shania Twain featured playlists below. We promise you she’ll appreciate it.

Whether you have a rock mom, a pop mom, or a country mom – make sure you send her the playlist you think she would enjoy the most!

1. Shania Twain

Shania Twain gave birth to her son Eja (pronounced “Asia”) D’Angelo on August 12, 2001 right before she headed back into the studio to record her album: Up!

Shania once shared that the first time she played ‘Life’s About to Get Good,’ Eja loved it.

She also added: “He got up from his chair and it just cheered him up. I said, ‘Oh, well, I’m glad you like that. Why do you like this song so much?’ He goes, ‘’Cause it makes me happy.’ So that’s from a teenager and he just likes feeling happy and likes that spirit in music.”

Apollo’s birth was announced by Gwen on her Instagram account, and his two middle names are the maiden names of his mother’s and father’s mothers.

Gwen spoke heartfelt words regarding her children and parenting as a whole: “I’ve been so lucky to be in a band until I’m forever-old and really have this extended childhood and fun travel life, very self-absorbed and creative. But having children, it’s really interesting to watch them and have the responsibility of trying to make them good people. Parenting is terrifying, but it’s also so incredible and rewarding.”

3. Carrie Underwood

Carrie Underwood’s firstborn son is named Isaiah Michael Fisher. Isaiah is a four-year-old whose birthday is February 27, 2015. Carrie once stressed about how having a child and going on tour would work out: “I was so concerned about going on tour and how it was all going to work. How am I going to be a mom? How am I going to do what I do? He’s learned how to hang with us and keep up. It’s been really wonderful having him out on the road.”

At one point, Carrie joked that her son sometimes calls her ‘Carefree Underwear’ – an impressively funny nickname from a four-year-old!

Isaiah’s dad, Mike Fisher, noted on social media that Isaiah was in the audience at Carrie’s ‘Cry Pretty Tour‘ stop in Birmingham. He shared that Isaiah kept yelling ‘mommy I love you’ whenever she came close to their area.

On January 21st of this year, Carrie gave birth to another little boy! Jacob Bryan Fisher.

“His mom, dad and big brother couldn’t be happier for God to trust them with taking care of this little miracle,” Carrie wrote. “Our hearts are full, our eyes are tired and our lives are forever changed. Life is good…”
