Its not very often you get the chance to see Alessia Cara live and up close.
The Grammy Award-winning singer returned to her hometown this past Wednesday, for an intimate performance inside the MOD Club. Fans were treated to a one of a kind experience, specially curated and hosted by OLG LOTTO MAX.
Between unique art installations and a cotton candy bar, there was plenty to appease fans in anticipation of Alessia’s performance. The venue was transformed into an Alessia Cara Wonderland, featuring decor such as a graffiti wall, an illuminated cloud, and hanging flower vines from the top of the stage. LOTTO MAX captured the night’s events on polaroid cameras and fans given the physical photos as a keepsake.
With a smile on her face the entire time, Alessia greeted and interacted with fans before her scheduled performance. Unlike most meet-and-greets, Alessia spent a decent amount of time with each fan: complimenting them, asking how they were, and being a genuine friend.
The Brampton native put on a lively set, featuring tracks such as ‘Rooting For You‘, ‘Ready‘, and ‘October‘, all of which are featured on her recently released EP, This Summer.
As a nod to her long-time fans and radio listeners, Alessia performed some of her older hits such as ‘Here‘ and ‘Scars To Your Beautiful‘, with her most loyal fans up close singing along and singing along. Alessia closed out the show with her dance-pop collaboration with Zedd, ‘Stay‘.
