New Music Friday: The Weeknd, J Balvin, Justin Bieber, and more.

Posted on March 20, 2020

With change and new challenges facing us every day we know you might need some normalcy and routine in your life. So, we’re back with another New Music Friday for your ears! And since we know you don’t know what to do with all the time in your hands, we have made a special playlist just for you. We know you’re social distancing but we want to make sure you’re ok – so listen below!

After Hours by The Weeknd

After his single, “Blinding Lights” held the #1 global spot on Spotify for 30 days and counting, The Weeknd has released the long-anticipated album After Hours. After breaking the record for the most pre-saves on Apple music the full album is coming through for us with soothing vocals and dark ambient beats. Be sure to check out the short film shared earlier this week and all info for his recently announced 67 date world tour!

Colores by J Balvin

There is no denying that the pop, dance, and Latin sounds J Balvin continues to serve us don’t get us right up, and out of our seats. While you might need something to do just that right now, J Balvin has given us an entire album to dance to. From the hypnotic “Blanco” to the colourful “Morado”, the entire album brings good vibes from start to finish.

Kid Krow by Conan Gray

Our bedroom pop prince has delivered us the album of teenage anthems we’ve been waiting for. It’s candid, it’s accepting, and it’s unapologetic. Whether Gray is talking trauma, life in the suburbs, sexual repression, or accepting who you are as a human, Kid Krow is bound to shed light on something you need to hear.

“Intentions” Acoustic by Justin Bieber

While encouraging us to stay inside Bieber wants to make sure we’re all surviving while doing so. Without Quavo of course, Bieber has social distanced and given us the stripped-down version of the Top 10 hit, “Intentions”, filled with heartfelt vocals and harmonizing guitar. Bieber is set to kick off his 45 show, North American Tour on May 14th, 2020. Dates and ticket info can be found here.
