New Music Friday: YUNGBLUD, Lil Yachty, Taylor Swift and more!

With the 2020 GRAMMY nominees revealed and the awards in the horizon for January, we can officially say that this year is ending. For November’s last New Music Friday we have new releases and extended albums! You’ll have to wait a bit more, why don’t pass the time with our Best of 2020 playlist meanwhile?

After releasing “cotton candy” back in early October, today YUNGBLUD brings “mars”, another single from the upcoming album “WEIRD!”, set to release first week of December. With its delicate storytelling and tender vocal work, the acoustic-guitar-laced track shares the narrative of a young trans woman the English artist met while playing the “Warped” Tour in 2018.

“It made me cry to think that we could have that kind of impact and change people’s perceptions, just by being ourselves.

Lil Yachty – Lil Boat 3.5

Lil Yachty, the Atlanta native, Grammy-nominated singer, rapper, producer, creative designer, branding genius and fashion icon is back. After releasing his album “Lil Boat 3” on August, “Lil Boat 3.5” comes as an extended edition of the same, boosting the 19 tracks of the original into a 27-track work. Again, this album features collaborations from artists like Drake, DaBaby, Lil Durk, Future and Playboi Carti among others.

Taylor Swift – folklore: the long pond studio sessions (from the Disney+ special) [deluxe edition]

Taylor Swift announced during her acceptance video for Artist of the Year at the 2020 AMAs that she is in process of re-recording her previous albums. And literally a couple days after, she dropped the deluxe edition of her latest album, “folklore“.

This album comes alongside the Disney+ movie folklore: the long pond studio sessions and right the day after Taylor was nominated for no less than 6 GRAMMY awards! What a year has been for her!

Kidd G – Teenage Dream

Kidd G is an up and coming American singer-songwriter who just dropped the perfect (American) Thanksgiving treat: his latest EP “Teenage Dream”, which features 6 tracks and includes his latest single “Dirt Road”. Pilla B – Careless (Freestyle)

Charismatic and fun-loving Toronto recording artist Pilla B released his latest single, “Careless (Freestyle)”. The track is bundled with an animated music video in a similar style to the one that accompanied his previous single “Vanilla”.

PUBLIC – Splash

“Splash” is the newest song from the band PUBLIC, which marks the beginning of their new musical era as they have indicated. The band came to the spotlight with the successful release of “Make You Mine”, which became of the hottest songs on TikTok. This ‘new era’ speak sounds like a big project coming up in the near future… Fingers crossed!

The Vamps – Cherry Blossom Extended Part 1

After the original release of “Cherry Blossom” on October 16th this year, the Vamps are starting to re-release the album in an extended fashion. This first installment, “Cherry Blossom (Extended Pt. 1)” includes the original full-length plus three acoustic renditions of “Married In Vegas”, “Better” and “Glory Days”.

The Beaches – Desdemona

JUNO Award-winning Canadian rock band The Beaches continue releasing songs from their 2019-released EP “The Professional” as singles, including with each release a live-version of the track. After last month’s “Lame” and “Fascination”, now the girls have released “Desdemona”.
