Paul McCartney – McCartney III

“McCartney III” album artwork

The wait is finally over: Paul McCartney’s overwhelmingly anticipated all-new, all-Paul album “McCartney III” has been released. This is his first new album since 2018’s “Egypt Station” and is a stripped back, self-produced and, quite literally, solo work in the tradition of 1970’s “McCartney” and 1980’s “McCartney II”. The album was recorded earlier this year during “Rockdown”. Quite a productive year for Sir Paul indeed, and quite a celebration for all the good things that came during this bizarre and already fading year.

contradash – all-star

22-year-old contradash is culminating the year with his 10-track debut album “all-star”, which is full of the artist’s seamless cross-pollination of emo, pop and hip-hop into a sound tailor-made for lovelorn gen-Z’ers. Clearly 2020 has been the year for contradash, and we certainly hope that 2021 brings even better and bigger things from him!

Last week was a cover, this time it’s a “reimagination”. No matter how you call it, renforshort is surrounding herself with good company (it’s Curtis Waters’ turn this time) and putting out bops. This is a new version of one of her own creations, “fuck, i luv my friends” and is accompanied by a charming piece of artwork.
