As many of us already know, June is PRIDE month, celebrating individuality through expression. PRIDE month calls for us to be proud of ourselves in every way we can. Normally, PRIDE involves parades, parties, celebrations and more for everyone to come together and feel the love. If you’re a part of the LGBTQ+ community or a supportive ally, these songs will bring PRIDE to wherever you are. Apply an extra layer of wig glue, secure your outfit, plan a reveal if you’re feeling fancy and let’s get into these 10 anthems.
“Greedy” by Ariana Grande
You may want to keep your mask on because we’re in a pandemic, but this song will leave you wanting more. “Greedy” is an absolute ear-worm with a simple chorus that satisfies your dance break cravings. Ariana Grande has always been very open with her own sexuality as well as always being a huge ally since the beginning of her career. On top of that, she is the most lip synced to artist of all time on the hit TV show RuPaul’s Drag Race, a pioneer for queer media.

- “Side to Side” featuring Nicki Minaj
- “No Tears Left To Cry”
- “7 Rings”
- “Problem” featuring Iggy Azalea

“Still Dancing” by Rêve
This phenomenal debut just happens to be from a Montreal based artist who resembles a dream, her name? Rêve. You’re not going to want to forget her. “Still Dancing” separates itself from the typical dance pop song by combining darker lyrics with an upbeat instrumental. This tactic is seen in pop songs such as “Rehab” by Amy Winehouse and “On The Ground” by ROSÉ, both PRIDE highlights. “Still Dancing” dropped just in time for pride month and we are elated! It has a relatable message that we can still shake some booty to.
You best give Rêve a follow on Instagram, Twitter and TikTok (her Tiktoks are really good, we all follow on our personals).
“Let Them Know” by Mabel
From the first beat of this song on the first listen, something struck a cord with us. Then we came to find out this track is inspired by queer media like Paris is Burning and Pose! “Let Them Know” is a track that demonstrates queer culture’s dominance over dance pop. Mabel phenomenally has the lyrics match the electronic vibe of the song and will have you be totally into voguing right now. When queer clubs open up again, bet your bottom dollar we will be requesting this one.
