VALLEY EARN THEIR FIRST NO. 1 AT ALTERNATIVE RADIO WITH “VENDING MACHINE”

03 August 2026 (Toronto, ON) – Today, JUNO-nominated band Valley achieved their first-ever No. 1 at Canadian Alternative Radio as “Vending Machine” (Universal Music Canada/Capitol Records) reaches the top spot on the chart.

We had a really good feeling about it when we wrote it then, so we held it back for this new era. We put it out first because we wanted to kick the door down with it. Released earlier this summer, “Vending Machine” has become Valley’s biggest radio single to date, earning widespread support across Canadian Alternative Radio and reaching listeners around the world. The track also sparked a viral moment with a surprise pop-up performance in Toronto, where fan-captured moments quickly spread across social media. “Vending Machine” has also received critcal acclaim, with Billboard Canada calling the track “three-and-a-half minutes of pure fun with playful lyrics and nostalgic alt-pop production” while Atwood Magazine called it an “irresistibly catchy and emotionally unflinching anthem.”

The milestone arrives just days after the release of Valley’s latest single “Someday” on Friday. The band celebrated the release with another surprise pop-up performance in Montreal before taking both tracks to the main stage at Osheaga Music and Arts Festival on Sunday, performing for thousands of fans.
