25 SEPTEMBER 2026 (TORONTO, ON) — Breakout 22-year-old singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Magnus Ferrell releases his new EP, Groove Therapy, out now via Visva Records/Republic Records. The funky, groovy, and soulful, seven-track project includes his viral fan-favorite single “Asleep Talking” and new collaboration “She’s Gonna Break My Heart” featuring Jenevieve. The EP arrives as Magnus hits the road supporting Jonas Brothers on select dates of their tour this fall, kicking off tonight at TD Garden in Boston, MA.

Magnus commented, “Groove Therapy is my favorite collection of songs I’ve ever made. I had so much fun making it, and I hope people have just as much fun listening to it.”
On the EP, he moves through the rush, uncertainty, desire, and vulnerability of falling for someone, wrapping each feeling in warm instrumentation, undeniable hooks, and the musicianship that has defined his viral rise. Drawing on his roots as a jazz pianist alongside his love of funk, R&B, soul, and pop, Magnus brings the idea of “groove therapy” to life, music meant to make you feel just as much as it makes you move.
The EP opens with “She’s Gonna Break My Heart” featuring Jenevieve, an irresistible back-and-forth about willingly walking headfirst into heartbreak. Magnus admits, “She’s gonna break my heart / And I’m gonna let her, let her do it,”before Jenevieve flips the perspective with a playful response of her own.
Groove Therapy arrives following a major run of live shows for Magnus. This summer, he joined Nick Jonas for select dates, and now he steps onto some of the biggest stages of his career supporting Jonas Brothers throughout the fall. The run begins tonight at Boston’s TD Garden and continues through December, with stops in Philadelphia, Miami, Atlanta, Chicago, Milwaukee, San Diego, Denver, and more. Magnus will also return to New York City for two shows at the legendary Blue Note on September 30.

ABOUT MAGNUS FERRELL
Magnus Ferrell makes his presence known with a vibrant and vivacious voice and vintage swagger. The 22-year-old Los Angeles-born singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist brings substance and spirit back to pop music. Exuding confidence and charisma, he emerges as a rare force of nature who could enrapture either an underground jazz club or the main stage of your favorite festival. Hailing from a suburb in Los Angeles, he embraced music as a kid. His grandfather famously played saxophone and keys for The Righteous Brothers in addition to cutting solo music of his own. At his mother’s behest, Magnus started piano lessons at five-years-old. By middle school, he developed a passion for the instrument, delving into jazz and studying the likes of Bill Evans, Miles Davis, Oscar Peterson, and John Coltrane. He expanded his palette via Bruno Major, Mac Ayres, Still Woozy, Michael Jackson, and Stevie Wonder. Along the way, he took advantage of any opportunity to perform, whether it be dueting with his grandfather at a family wedding or joining a school jazz band. By participating in the latter, he forged a friendship with collaborator Gabe Yaron. The duo went from rearranging and recutting pop songs to attending University of Southern California. In 2023, Magnus served up “Drinks On Me,” gaining momentum with “Missed Your Chance” on its heels. His 2024 single “Life Or Death” reeled in 581K Spotify streams and paved the way for his Hasn’t Even Started EP. He kicked off 2025 by contributing “Slow Down” [with Deacon] to the acclaimed comedy, You’re Cordially Invited. Amassing millions of streams and generating buzz independently, he introduces a slick signature style on a series of singles for Republic Records. In 2026, he kicked off his next chapter with “Asleep Talking” and now brings his sound into full focus on Groove Therapy.
