26 JUNE 2026 (TORONTO, ON) — Shania Twain, five-time GRAMMY Award winner and the top-selling female country-pop artist of all time, has returned with “Little Miss Twain,” the title track from her highly anticipated seventh album, out July 24th. Following lead single “Dirty Rosie,” “Little Miss Twain” looks back to her early life in Canada, continuing the album’s return to her roots while recounting the hopes and dreams Shania’s mother had for her as a child. The track also celebrates fellow country star and one of Shania’s earliest musical heroes, Tanya Tucker, who joins Shania on the song. Listen HERE.

‘Little Miss Twain’ is very autobiographical,” Shania says. “It explains my childhood and my experience as a young artist, but also how important Tanya’s music is in my life. I was reflecting on the naivete of becoming the next Tanya Tucker — no one in the music industry was going to see me and think that, but my mother was sure that somehow along the way it was going to happen. I often wonder what she would have thought if she could’ve seen what’s happened in my life.”

On an album full of the most honest songs of Shania’s career, “Little Miss Twain” might be the most distinct portrait of her childhood and how it laid the groundwork for her to become the beloved star we now know. In the chorus, Shania remembers her mom driving her to sing in bars as an eight-year-old and imploring her to learn Tanya Tucker’s catalog as both inspiration and aspiration. Tragically lost in a car accident in 1987, Shania’s mother never saw her daughter’s career take off. All these years later, Shania finally felt ready to write about her mother’s impact, making “Little Miss Twain” one of the most vulnerable and moving moments on an album that gives us an unprecedented look into the life of one of country pop’s greatest icons.

Shania knew there was only one person who could sing on the song with her — Tanya Tucker herself. After inviting her to the studio, the two crafted an arrangement in which their voices wrap around each other in a poignant, reflective country duet. Tanya’s presence gives the song an added layer of emotion: she was one of Shania’s earliest inspirations and the artist her mother encouraged her to look up to as a young girl. “Little Miss Twain” is a full-circle celebration of the women who shaped Shania’s story — from the mother who believed in her destiny before anyone else, the artists who inspired her musical journey, and the generations she continues to influence.

Little Miss Twain marks Shania’s most personal work in a hallowed career of acclaimed albums, classic hits, and over 100 million albums sold worldwide. The title track picks up where “Dirty Rosie” left off, establishing the album’s seamless blend of country, pop, rock, soul, and bluegrass in an artistic evolution that traces Shania’s formative experiences. Little Miss Twain is out July 24th via Republic Nashville. Pre-order it HERE.

From the very beginning of her career, Shania forged ahead with a vision all her own, blazing the trail for the crossover success of country music, the erosion of genre strictures, and a new generation of similarly uncompromising female country stars that claimed her as a primary influence. Shania broke records at every turn, making history as the first artist to ever release three consecutive Diamond-certified albums. Yet even with the range and impact of her past work, she’s never written something as self-referential and introspective as Little Miss Twain. The album gets to the core of her as a person and a musician, only possible with decades of hard-earned wisdom and perspective.

With 2017’s Now, Shania ended a 15-year break from releasing music and quickly reclaimed her throne as one of the definitive country-pop artists of her generation. She followed it in 2023 with Queen Of Me, and kicked off the global Queen Of Me Tour, which ranked among the Top 10 highest-grossing country tours of the year. In between tours, she also launched sold-out Las Vegas residencies. Never content to rest on the stratospheric success of her past, Shania now returns with an album that builds upon not just the experiences of her early years, but also the groundbreaking career that followed. The title may call back to Shania’s days as an eight-year-old singing late night at the bar, but the album finds the artist more vital than ever as a songwriter.
