DROP NEW ALBUM TRACK ‘THE BREAKUP’ TODAY

SELF-TITLED DEBUT LP
TO BE RELEASED JUNE 30

32-DATE NORTH AMERICAN TOUR TO INCLUDE FOUR CANADIAN CITIES

05 MAY 2017 (TORONTO, ON)—Los Angeles-based trio LANY drop new track ‘The Breakup’ today. The song is taken from the forthcoming self-titled debut album set for release June 30 via Polydor Records/Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company. ‘The Breakup’ melds sun-drenched ‘80s synth pop with the bittersweet, lovelorn reflection LANY do so well, with vocalist and songwriter Paul Klein ruminating on lost love and loneliness on the road.

LANY features 16 tracks – including their global streaming hit ‘ILYSB’ (I love you so bad) – and will be available on CD, vinyl and digital formats as well as a box set. Fans who pre-order the album will receive ‘The Breakup’, ‘It Was Love’, ‘Good Girls’ and ‘ILYSB’ as instant grat downloads.

The trio collaborated with Snapchat to create their very own lens for previous instant grat ‘Good Girls’, with everyone from Tove Lo and Demi Lovato to Jared Leto, Chloe Grace Moretz and Anna Kendrick all giving it a go.

To coincide with ‘The Breakup’ LANY have announced a mammoth 32-date North American tour for this autumn, with tickets on sale now on the band’s website. The tour includes four dates across Canada, see details below.

The LA trio – Paul Klein, Les Priest and Jake Goss – have amassed a huge live fanbase and last year alone played a total of 117 shows across twelve countries, selling over 35,000 tickets. With 4 million monthly listeners on Spotify and combined streams of over 100 million, LANY is the most streamed artist of all time through the Spotify Discover feature, with ‘ILYSB’ also holding the title of the most streamed song of all time through Spotify Discover.
