WILL.I.AM TO RELEASE BRAND-NEW ALBUM #WILLPOWER ON 23 APRIL 2013

FORTHCOMING SINGLE, “#THATPOWER” FEATURING JUSTIN BIEBER AVAILABLE TODAY, 18 MARCH 2013

(18 March 2013 – Toronto, ON) – Multi-platinum producer and songwriter will.i.am has announced that he will release a solo album titled #willpower on April 23 through Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company.  The first single, “#thatPOWER”, featuring Justin Bieber, is available on iTunes from today and the video will be released next month.  Additional songs on #willpower include tracks with Britney Spears, Hit-Boy, Waka Flocka Flame, Lil Wayne, Diddy, Chris Brown, Miley Cyrus, Skylar Grey, Juicy J, Nicole Scherzinger, Eva Simons, apl.de.ap, Baby Kaely and 2NE1. #willpower includes the multi-platinum single “Scream & Shout”, featuring Britney Spears, as well as “Scream & Shout (Hit-Boy Remix)” featuring Britney Spears, Hit-Boy, Waka Flocka Flame, Lil Wayne and Diddy. Produced by Lazy Jay, “Scream & Shout” has sold over 400,000 singles in Canada and has racked up over 164 million views on VEVO.  The single reached #1 on the SoundScan Singles chart and held the #1 position for eight weeks in a row. A seven-time Grammy Award-winner, will.i.am is known not only for his work with The Black Eyed Peas, who have sold 31 million albums and 58 million singles worldwide, but also for his work with some of the entertainment industry’s biggest names, including Britney Spears, Michael Jackson, Rihanna, Usher, David Guetta and film composer Hans Zimmer.
