Hesitation Marks to be released September 03 via Universal Music Canada

~ New single ‘Came Back Haunted’ at radio now and available for download from June 07 ~

(06 June 2013 - Toronto, ON) - Nine Inch Nails has announced they will release their new full-length album Hesitation Marks on September 03 via Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company.  The new studio album, which Trent Reznor recorded with Atticus Ross and Alan Moulder over the course of the past year, marks the first new music from Nine Inch Nails in five years. Lead single, ‘Came Back Haunted’ appeared online in the early hours of this morning and has had an overwhelming response, spreading across the web almost instantaneously.  In a matter of hours the track had over three hundred thousand plays on SoundCloud alone and earned not one, but two of the Top 10 worldwide trends on Twitter.  The single is at radio now and available to stream on SoundCloud and YouTube; it will be officially available to download from iTunes tomorrow (June 07).  Fans who pre-order Hesitation Marks on iTunes will instantly receive a download of ‘Came Back Haunted’.  The album will also be available to pre-order at www.nin.com. “I've been less than honest about what I've really been up to lately,” said Trent Reznor. “For the last year I've been secretly working non-stop with Atticus Ross and Alan Moulder on a new, full-length Nine Inch Nails record, which I am happy to say, is finished and frankly fucking great.  This is the real impetus and motivation behind the decision to assemble a new band and tour again.  My forays into film, HTDA and other projects really stimulated me creatively and I decided to focus that energy on taking Nine Inch Nails to a new place.  Here we go!” “We are honoured that Trent Reznor has signed with Universal in Canada,” stated Lennox.  “Trent is one of the most successful and innovative artists of our time and we are all very excited for the new Nine Inch Nails album.” The new Nine Inch Nails lineup – Alessandro Cortini, Josh Eustis, Robin Finck, Trent Reznor and Ilan Rubin – will debut on July 26th at the Fuji Rock Festival in Naeba, Japan. The show will mark Nine Inch Nails’ first live performance in nearly four years. Nine Inch Nails is considered a pioneer in the industrial music movement and has been highly influential in the evolution of electronic music.  Its recordings – include Pretty Hate Machine (1989), Broken (1992), The Downward Spiral (1994) and With Teeth (2005) – have revolutionized detailed digital production.  The band has sold more than 30 million albums worldwide, released a remarkable series of singles, including radio hits “The Hand That Feeds”, “Only”, “Every Day Is Exactly the Same” and “Survivalism”.  Nine Inch Nails have received two GRAMMY® awards. Building on Nine Inch Nails’ long history of soundtrack work, Reznor, together with Atticus Ross, scored the David Fincher films The Social Network and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, winning an Oscar, a Golden Globe and a GRAMMY in the process.  For a more extensive history of Nine Inch Nails, visit www.thehistory.nin.com.
