(14 June 2013 – Toronto, ON) Robin Thicke has announced that his highly-anticipated sixth studio album, Blurred Lines, is set for a July 30 release via Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company. The album’s first single (also the title track) has already achieved double-Platinum status in Canada, with over 200,000 singles sold to-date. The single is currently the #1 song on the Canadian SoundScan Digital Songs chart (for the fourth consecutive week) and holds the status of highest one-week sales total for a single in 2013. “Blurred Lines” remains Top 10 at CHR radio and Top 15 at Hot AC in Canada, and is currently the #1 Audience Gainer at Canadian radio. The single has also moved its way up to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the US this past week, marking the artist’s first appearance on the chart’s top spot. The global hit, featuring Pharrell and T.I., has also passed 1 million downloads sold is the US, marking Thicke’s first song to reach the milestone, and is #1 in 28 countries. “I am so grateful to all of my fans and am excited for them to check out the album when it drops in July,” said Thicke. “It is great that it is already being received so well."
