ERIC CHURCH’S THE OUTSIDERS DEBUTS AT #1 IN CANADA
Current Single “Give Me Back My Hometown” is Top 10 at Country Radio
(TORONTO, ON - 19 February 2014) – Eric Church’s critically acclaimed new studio album, The Outsiders, takes the number one spot this week on both the Nielson SoundScan Album Chart in Canada and the US Billboard Top 200 album chart with sales of 17,589 in Canada. The Outsider’s, Church’s fourth studio album follows the platinum-selling album, Chief (2011). Both albums were produced by longtime collaborator, Jay Joyce. Taking the cover of SPIN this month, the magazine claims “He's the most exciting, sonically fearless singer in Nashville,” adding “The guy [is] so divisive he's a uniter.” NPR Fresh Air’s critic Ken Tucker announced: “Eric Church is working on a level that few other country artists of his generation can touch.” After only four weeks out, Church’s latest single, “Give Me Back My Hometown” is climbing the Canadian Country radio chart taking the number eight spot this week.
