IMAGINE DRAGONS TO HEADLINE THE GREY CUP HALF-TIME SHOW AT THE 102ND GREY CUP IN VANCOUVER ON NOVEMBER 30

27 October 2014 (Toronto, ON) – Multi-platinum, Grammy Award and MuchMusic Video Award winners Imagine Dragons release a brand-new single titled “I Bet My Life” today via Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company. The track is available now for digital download and streaming via digital subscription services. Listen to “I Bet My Life” here. Written and produced by Imagine Dragons, “I Bet My Life” is the first music to be released from the Las Vegas quartet’s upcoming second album, slated to drop in 2015. Lead vocalist Dan Reynolds comments about the track: "This song is about the relationship I've had with my parents throughout the years. At times it's been strained and difficult, but in the end, 'I Bet My Life' celebrates the bond that we still hold on to." Formed in 2009 by Reynolds, guitarist Wayne Sermon, bassist Ben McKee, and drummer Daniel Platzman, Imagine Dragons earned a grassroots following by independently releasing a series of EPs. After Alex Da Kid signed them to his KIDinaKORNER/Interscope, the band made its major-label debut with the release of CONTINUED SILENCE, a 2012 EP featuring the 2X platinum breakthrough single “It’s Time”. The band’s triple-platinum album in Canada NIGHT VISIONS arrived later that year and Imagine Dragons found themselves on a skyward trajectory that saw the album debut at No. 2 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart, selling nearly four million copies worldwide, and became the No. 1 album on Spotify Worldwide for 2013. NIGHT VISIONS’ second single, the 8X platinum “Radioactive”, hit No. 1 on the Billboard Rock chart and earned the band a 2014 Grammy for Best Rock Performance. The third single, “Demons” is 5X platinum in Canada. Special appearances with the band in Canada included We Day Toronto in 2013 and the MuchMusic Video Awards in 2014, where they took home the award for International Video of the Year – Group for “Demons”. Imagine Dragons will return to Canada on November 30 to headline the half-time show at the 102nd Grey Cup in Vancouver. More information about Imagine Dragons’ new album will be revealed soon.
