29 AUGUST 2016 (Toronto, ON) – The highly-anticipated third installment of the Bridget Jones franchise returns to our screens this autumn. Oscar® winners Renée Zellweger and Colin Firth will be joined by Patrick Dempsey for the next chapter of the world’s favourite singleton in BRIDGET JONES’S BABY. Directed by Sharon Maguire (BRIDGET JONES’S DIARY), the new film in the beloved comedy series (which has grossed over 486.1M at the box office) based on novelist Helen Fielding’s heroine (has sold over 16 million copies in 40 countries) finds Bridget unexpectedly expecting. To accompany the film, Polydor Records / Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company, will be releasing the Original Motion Picture Soundtrack for BRIDGET JONES’S BABY. Both the film and the soundtrack will be released on Friday, September 16. The 19-song soundtrack compilation is available for pre-order here. The soundtrack will feature brand-new songs from UK global artist Ellie Goulding, entitled “Still Falling For You” and one of the UK’s biggest artists, Years & Years with their song “Meteorite”. Alongside these brand-new songs, the soundtrack will also feature tracks from songwriter/producer Knox Brown, Ed Sheeran, Jess Glynne and Lily Allen. FILM SYNOPSIS: After breaking up with Mark Darcy (Firth), Bridget Jones’s (Zellweger) “happily ever after” hasn’t quite gone according to plan. Fortysomething and single again, she decides to focus on her job as top news producer and surround herself with old friends and new. For once, Bridget has everything completely under control. What could possibly go wrong? Then her love life takes a turn and Bridget meets a dashing American named Jack (Dempsey), the suitor who is everything Mr. Darcy is not. In an unlikely twist she finds herself pregnant, but with one hitch…she can only be fifty percent sure of the identity of her baby’s father. The much-anticipated third installment of the Bridget Jones franchise welcomes fellow Academy Award® winner Emma Thompson to the cast. Longtime collaborators Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner of Working Title Films produce alongside Debra Hayward.
