Aminé Releases Full-length Debut Album Good For You; Available Everywhere Today

28 July 2017 (Toronto, ON) – After months of anticipation, multiplatinum-certified Portland, OR rapper Aminé releases his full-length debut, Good For You today via Republic Records / Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company.

Before the album’s official arrival today, Aminé nearly surpassed the 500K global album equivalent threshold for Good For You. The record is fueled by the multi-platinum hit “Caroline”, “Wedding Crashers” [feat. Offset], “Heebiejeebies” [feat. Kehlani], “Turf”, “Blinds”, and more.

On Spotify, “Spice Girl” and “Veggies” were added to the Rap Caviar playlist (7.3M Followers) today. “Spice Girl” was also added to the New Music Friday playlist in Canada, the US, Australia/NZ, and Japan (total combined followers 2.5 million). “Veggies” was added to the New Music Friday playlist in the UK and Portugal (total combined followers 466k), and “Yellow” was added to the New Music Friday playlist in Philippines, Indonesia, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong (total combined followers 532k).

It has been a busy week for Aminé. On Monday, he performed “Wedding Crashers” [feat. Offset] on NBC’s Late Night With Seth Meyers, donning a powder blue tuxedo and backed by a similarly fly doo-wop group (and singing priest!). Tuesday, he launched the first of two bi-coastal art installations in New York City at Ludlow Studios. The artist invited fans to hang out with him and take a seat on the “blue toilet” from his album cover. The installation invades L.A. this Sunday, July 30 at Space 15 Twenty.

With Good For You finally out now, Aminé is gearing up to hit the road this fall on his first-ever headlining tour, Tour For You. He made the announcement with this hilarious skit here. The tour runs from October 6 to November 17 and includes one stop in Canada on October 16 at The Opera House in Toronto. For the full schedule and tickets visit heyamine.com/tour/.

2017 is shaping up to be the year of Aminé. Not only did he join XXL’s prestigious “Freshmen Class” as a cover star, but he also turned up at Bonnaroo with a headline-making set. VEVO recently proclaimed him as its latest LIFT artist, releasing exclusive video footage for six weeks—including “Becoming” and “Turf".

Every once in a while, an artist comes along and rewrites the entire rule book for a genre. That’s exactly what Aminé did with “Caroline” in 2016. Taking rap to a new frontier, it earned a triple-platinum plaque as he delivered a kinetic performance of the anthem on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon between constant touring. “REDMERCEDES” and its high-profile official remix with Missy Elliott and AJ Tracey saw him lap the competition yet again.
