06 June 2018 (Toronto, ON) Calum Scott will join Pentatonix as support on all dates for the a cappella group’s upcoming summer tour which kicks off July 12 in Utah and continues through mid-September.

The breakout U.K. artist, singer, and songwriter is touring in support of his debut album Only Human, which was released by Capitol Records/Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company, in March and hit #1 on iTunes in over 20 countries. Billboard said, “Scott’s stunningly pure voice is affecting enough in itself, but his lyrics on every one of the (album’s) tracks are vulnerable and raw.” Tracks from Only Human have over one billion combined streams and the current single, “You Are The Reason”, has been certified Gold. Scott is joined on a special duet version of “You Are The Reason” by vocal powerhouse and three-time Grammy nominee Leona Lewis. The song has over 275 million combined streams and the video has amassed over 100 million views. Watch the official music video for “You Are The Reason” HERE.

Scott was nominated for a Brit Award for Best Single, for his poignant version of Robyn’s “Dancing On My Own” which became a global sensation with over 750 million streams worldwide, and is now Platinum in five countries.

Made with producers like Fraser T Smith (Adele, Ellie Goulding), Jayson DeZuzio (Skylar Grey, Imagine Dragons), and Oscar Görres (Taylor Swift, Britney Spears), Only Human showcases the commanding vocal work Scott has displayed while touring with artists like Emeli Sandé. In releasing his original material for the first time, Scott reveals the rare gift of his songwriting: an intense vulnerability that somehow leaves the listener more hopeful and assured. “You Are the Reason” embodies Scott’s singular ability to transform pain into beauty. While it began as a meditation on anxiety and its triggers, the gently uplifting track evolved into a story of celebration. “As I picked it apart and looked at it more closely, the lyric ‘Without a reason’ turned into ‘You are the reason,’” Scott says. “So instead of being a song about anxiety, the message became about how the love you feel for the people in your life is more powerful than anything else.”

Calum Scott will be performing in Toronto September 6 at the Budweiser Stage.
