CANADIAN TOUR TO FOLLOW EUROPEAN DATES

OVERSEAS TV APPEARANCES TO INCLUDE LATER…WITH JOOLS HOLLAND

08 OCTOBER 2014 (Toronto, ON) – Adam Cohen’s Canadian tour supporting his latest long-player, We Go Home, begins November 09 in Calgary, AB. In the meantime, Cohen and band are presently on tour in the warm embrace of Europe and England, where We Go Home is among this year’s more celebrated releases. What’s being said about Adam Cohen internationally: "The songs are luminous, starting with the title track and it’s infectious melody that grabs you from the start" - Libération (France);  "It's brilliant, a warm, rootsy, emotive record... it's that good!" - The Independent (United Kingdom); **** "Never has Adam sounded more Cohen-esque, and he's all the better for it." - MOJO (United Kingdom); "A masterpiece" - For Folk's Sake  (United Kingdom); "A familiar burnished elegance" - Uncut (United Kingdom); "A velvet voice and tender Folk-Pop are the trademarks of Adam Cohen’s sound" - Rolling Stone (Germany); **** "… his best songs are just as good as the ones of his father. " - Muziek Magazine (Holland); "Extreme delicacy, his songwriting doesn’t ever slow down!" - La Libre (Belgium) To accompany his tour dates, Cohen is also making high-profile TV appearances on programs such as  the UK’s Later…With Jools Holland (to air on BBC October 16 and 17) and Germany’s immensely popular Inas Nacht. Back at home, We Go Home  debuted at #1 on the Quebec and Alternative album charts (#6 across Canada) while the title-track first single enjoyed five consecutive weeks at #1 on CBC Radio 2’s Top 20 – where presently this week’s champion in online listener votes is Cohen’s stirring single Love Is. Canadian audiences will soon experience the intimacy, power and fascinating story behind We Go Home live and direct. The project is all the more remarkable for being the album that almost wasn’t. You see, Cohen completed and then scrapped a previously-recorded album before starting afresh, choosing to heed the distant calling to his roots and family by recording in the living rooms of houses in which he was raised (in Montreal and Hydra, Greece). We Go Home  picks where the Gold-selling Like A Man(Rezolute Music, 2011) left off. The album was produced by friend and long-time collaborator and multi-instrumentalist Don Miguel (who also added bass and backing vocals) and Jean Massicotte (see also Patrick Watson, Lhasa, Alejandra Ribera). Featuring cellist/guitarist and vocalist Mai Bloomfield as well as, briefly, Serena Ryder, We Go Home teems with “truth, beauty and a certain goes-down-easy quotient.” On We Go Home, Adam takes a more profound ownership and command of his own voice within a family tradition. He is the link between his father Leonard and his seven-year-old boy wonder Cassius. Adam Cohen is a son. And he is a father. And he is a man. And he and his bandmates are yours, live across the country this Fall.
