ALBUM IN STORES SEPTEMBER 16, PRE-ORDER AVAILABLE JULY 08

09 JUNE 2014 (Toronto, ON) – Adam Cohen’s new single, We Go Home, will be released tomorrow, June 10, and marks the lead single from the album of the same name, to be released September 16 via Rezolute/Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company. This strikingly intimate, bold and bewitching offering from the Quebec-born, California-based singer/songwriter is the follower to his gold-certified 2011 release, Like A Man. The single is streaming now at adamcohen.com, where the lyric video and confirmed Canadian tour dates will be revealed in the coming days. “In making Like a Man, I embraced a voice and tradition I belong to, but had initially sought to avoid. In We Go Home, I wanted to raise the voice I found and make that voice even more my own.”Co-produced by friend and long-time collaborator Don Miguel (who also added bass and backing vocals) and Jean Massicotte (see also Patrick Watson, Lhasa) and featuring cellist/guitarist and vocalist Mai Bloomfield as well as, briefly, Serena Ryder, We Go Home teems with “truth, beauty and a certain goes-down-easy quotient.” The album is made only more remarkable for being the album that almost wasn’t. You see, Cohen completed and then scrapped an album before starting afresh, choosing to cement his relation to his roots and family further by recording in the living rooms of houses in which he was raised (in Montreal and Hydra, Greece). Cohen has released three solo albums, enjoyed radio hits, and toured the globe. He once fronted the band Low Millions alongside guitarist/producer Don Miguel. In We Go Home Adam Cohen takes further ownership and command of his own voice within a family tradition. He is the link between his father Leonard and his seven-year-old boy wonder Cassius. Adam Cohen is a son. And he is a father. And he is a man. And he is yours.
