02 February 2018 (Toronto, ON) – Alt-pop phenom, Lights, has shared the video for her new single “We Were Here”, from her critically-acclaimed comic book concept record Skin&Earth, released this past fall via Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company. “From the minute I wrote ‘We Were Here’ I couldn’t wait to draw that part of the comic,” Lights said. “And from the minute I drew that chapter, I couldn’t wait to make the video. This is a song about owning the time we have on earth, and the video captures that whole vibe perfectly.” The video is Lights’ latest collaboration with director Jeremy Schaulin-Rioux, her creative partner for all the Skin&Earth music videos, and features Lights’ real-life husband Beau Bokan (of Blessthefall) as her male love interest. The clip drops as she embarks on her We Were Here headline tour – one of her biggest tours to date. The tour kicked off this past Tuesday in Lights’ hometown of Vancouver, and hits the U.S. tonight in Seattle, WA. The tour is underway for more than 40 dates, including stops in New York, Toronto, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Nashville.
