“Imagine my surprise and delight,” Murray shares, “when a young fan, who first saw me perform in Las Vegas, years ago, when he was 15, told me that he had discovered several songs that had never been released… songs that didn’t make the cut between the years 1978 and 1996. Here are a few of them.”

Executive produced by Grammy and JUNO Award-winner, Bob Rock (Bon Jovi, Michael Bublé) and mixed by Adam Greenholtz (Disney & Marvel Films, LeAnn Rimes, The Offspring), Here You Are expertly revitalizes a collection of rare studio recordings, masterfully updated for release.

Bob Rock says, “I don’t believe l have had such an incredible experience working on a record! Anne’s silky voice is perfect in every way! She’s also badass! Ha!”

Drawn from the vault and recorded during the height of her career, Here You Are, arrives as a collection of hidden gems that, until now, remained untouched. These rediscovered songs from the archives, expands Murray’s timeless catalogue, giving fans music that bridges the past and present.

“Bring All Your Heartaches to Me”, originally recorded for A Little Good News, features Murray’s daughter Dawn Langstroth on background vocals and a striking guitar solo by her nephew, Dale Murray. “Straight From the Heart” initially recorded for 1984’s Heart Over Mind, covers the Bryan Adams classic with new background vocals by Anne and her daughter Dawn, and a fresh pedal steel solo by her nephew Dale.

“Rest Easy (In My Love)” was recorded in Spring of 1989 and released as the album’s lead single. Originally considered for Greatest Hits Volume II, it finds its moment more than three decades later. The title track and early favourite of Murray’s, “Here You Are”, penned by acclaimed songwriter Hugh Prestwood (“Feed This Fire”, “The Song Remembers When”), was once in the running for Murray’s 1996 self-titled album.

“Heaven In My Heart” was first recorded by Murray’s brother Bruce Murray for his 1984 Capitol Records release, and now comes full circle with Murray’s own voice. “Feels Like More Than Dancing”, co-written by Patti Dahlstrom and Kerry Chater (the latter who contributed to several of Murray’s albums), was also recorded by Captain & Tennille. “I Lost My Dog” is perhaps the album’s most unique cut—a heartfelt song given to Murray by her Las Vegas orchestra leader, Al Gambino.  “How About Goodbye” written by Nashville Songwriters Hall of Famer Thom Schuyler (Kenny Rogers, John Conlee), also worked for the music publishing arm of Murray’s publishing company. “Maybe” a ballad written by Robbie MacNeill, the two toured in the early days as a duo and the song was recorded at the same time as Somebody’s Waiting.

The reflective “Gone” revives the Ferlin Husky classic, a No. 1 country hit in 1957 and a hit again by Joey Heatherton, then Ronnie McDowell, the song saw new life in the hands of Murray during her late-80s recording sessions, initially meant for Greatest Hits Volume II. Finally, “Catch My Breath” written by Alan O’Day (“Angie Baby,” “Undercover Angel”), closes the album with poignant elegance—another buried treasure from one of Canada's most enduring voices.
