“Verve Records-signed jazz virtuoso aron! is blending vintage charm with modern flair and is proof that jazz isn’t just alive, it’s evolving”
-The Line of Best Fit
Aron’s music blends warm melodies, lo-fi textures, and heartfelt storytelling into a style that’s both nostalgic and refreshingly modern."
-TMRW Magazine
“The music is disarmingly sophisticated: understated, elegant, and evocative of another era. But it doesn’t feel retro. It feels remarkably assured—rooted in tradition, yet fully at ease in the present moment.”
-The Third Story w/ Leo Sidran
12 JUNE 2026 (TORONTO, ON) — Today, charismatic jazz-pop singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist aron! releases his newest single, “Shiny Stockings,” the latest installment in his monthly release series. On “Shiny Stockings,” aron! transforms a small detail into something unexpectedly romantic. Inspired by a pair of stockings worn by someone he loves, the track pairs whimsical guitar melodies with laid-back orchestral strings, creating a charming blend of vintage jazz sophistication and playful pop sensibility. It’s about timeless love, with aron! singing, “Call my mother up to share the news/ I think you’re swell, I think you’re cute/ She said son when I was young like you/ We had those shiny stockings too.” Listen here and watch the official music video here.
“Shiny Stockings” follows a string of recent releases, including last month’s “Macramé,” April’s “Foolsong,” and March’s “Wonderful Thing.”
“Macramé,” a collaboration with indie-pop and jazz artist Mei Semones, fuses indie rock sound with jazz-inflected guitar work to capture the spark and excitement of a new relationship. Listen to the single here, watch the official music video here.
On “Foolsong,” aron! delivers an unlikely guidebook for the next person who dates his ex. Through a series of dos and don’ts, he recounts her love of sneaking into movie theaters and reflects on the mistakes he hopes the next guy won’t repeat. With the self-aware warning, “don’t be a fool / you’re looking at one,” the song examines where he went wrong, and where someone else might get it right. “Wonderful Thing” is an endearing, cozy-pop meditation on fearing love but falling anyway. The track earned praise from John Mayer, who spotlighted it on his SiriusXM channel Life with John Mayer, saying:
“[aron! is] really good at putting harmonic information in a tune that is both complex, which shines nicely on aron! and his talent, but also is right for the tune. It's just nice to hear music performed by a guy who knows a lot of chords but also knows how to use them in a tune.”

ABOUT ARON!
Born and raised in Charlotte, NC, aron!’s mom and dad introduced him to rock icons like Pearl Jam and Led Zeppelin, but it was the game Guitar Hero that first made him pick up a real guitar at eight-years-old and enroll in lessons at a local music school. He eventually met an “80-year-old jazz guitar teacher at Sam Ash.” The instructor taught aron! how to read music and further inspired his passion for jazz. Maybe it was the pre-teen rebellion inside that pushed him from rock and into jazz. In high school, he also regularly played music for the residents of retirement homes, performing old classics from Nat King Cole and Frank Sinatra for dementia patients. “I'd put on my little bow tie and a dress shirt to make it official,” he laughs.
aron! studied classical composition at University of North Carolina School of the Arts, developing an appreciation for Chopin, Ravel, and Bach. During COVID, he dedicated himself to learning piano, waking up at 7:30am daily and exploring all that you can do with 88 keys. He earned a full scholarship to the University of Miami and majored in jazz voice and film scoring. Simultaneously, he cut his teeth live by playing dozens of shows in his indie pop band Sunny Side Up!.
In 2023, he explored what he calls “a vintage pop sound,” and started building a strong following online. Labels started to call, and he signed to Verve to further develop his brand of ‘cozy pop’ on this new EP. “It's like singer-songwriter jazz,” he goes on. “I've always resonated with the real old-school romantics. People are going through the same things now as they were back then. Heartbreak is heartbreak, and love is love. We’re all humans, and that’s what most of these songs are about.”
