AROOJ AFTAB RELEASES NEW SINGLE “RAAT KI RANI (SYLVAN ESSO REMIX)”

27 JUNE 2025 (TORONTO, ON) - Today, Arooj Aftab releases “raat ki rani” (Sylvan Esso Remix). The remix of the track (whose title translates to “Queen of the Night” — the intoxicatingly fragrant, night-blooming flower) features re-recorded vocals by Aftab and a new captivating wall of sound from American electropop duo Sylvan Esso. Arooj and the duo (Amelia Meath and Nick Sanborn) first met when Sylvan Esso presented Arooj with the inaugural Grammy Award for Best Global Music Performance (for “Mohabbat” from Vulture Prince) in 2022. Known for their unique blend of catchy synth-pop melodies and delicate electronic sound, Sylvan Esso deftly showcases Arooj’s sublime vocals on this remix that is primed to become a summer favorite.
