Announces Headline Tour Dates

“…it’s the album we need in 2017: a juxtaposition of hopeful music and apprehensive lyrics, vocalizing concerns many of us are feeling but few can so masterfully articulate.” - PASTE

"What makes Man of the World, and Baio's post-national perspective as an American living in London, so compelling is it's ability to carve out a balance between heavy themes and a sound that feels hopeful, even triumphant."- VMAN

"Man of the World, is another accomplished blast of upbeat, electro-pop cuts.” – ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY

08 August 2017 (Toronto, ON) – Baio has unveiled the brilliant new video for the title track of his new album “Man Of The World”.  The album is availaible now via Glassnote Records / Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company - listen to the album in full HERE.  The video, co-directed by Baio and Scott Peters, sees the London-based New Yorker go on a whistle stop tour of some of the world’s most famous landmarks and cities (WATCH HERE).

On the video, Baio explains, “Using cutting-edge technology, Scott Peters and I were able to make a video that features places I've been (Lake Malawi, Rio, London) and others I have not (Patagonia, Niagara Falls). I'm particularly proud of the scene where I moonwalk on stage at Carnegie Hall and I believe the ending features the best Burj Khalifa scene since ‘Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol.’ Enjoy!”

The follow-up to recent single “PHILOSOPHY!”, “Man Of The World” is the title track from Baio’s wideley praised sophomore solo album, which was written and recorded in Brixton. Co-produced by John Foyle (Sampha, Ibeyi) and mixed by Bruce Lampcov (Bryan Ferry, The The), Man of the World is a body of work that addresses themes of alienation, paranoia, and political will to power that are belied by airy melodies and a crystalline pop sheen.  Over the course of the album release Baio sat down with Drowned In Sound, The Line Of Best Fit, Billboard, The 405, VMAN and many others to discuss how Man of the World came to be and its undeniable themes.

Today, Baio announces a series of headlining tour dates, including a show at Fox Cabaret in Vancouver on November 24, 2017.  Tickets for the headline shows go on sale this Friday.  For a full list of tour dates as well as the dates Baio will be supporting for The Shins, visit his website.
