19 February 2016 – (Toronto, ON) Bibi Bourelly takes tech for a spin with “Sally” her newest track, available today via Def Jam / Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company. “Sally” premieres alongside an interactive music video collaboration with LA-based tech wiz Master of Shapes. The video pulls SoundCloud audio and allows users to load any Tumblr site and have gifs or images react in real time to the song, essentially creating a music video instantly from their favorite internet memes. Fans and artists creating their own Tumblr music videos for “Sally” via the interactive music video generator can submit their videos for a chance to be featured by Def Jam, Bibi Bourelly and Tumblr. Fans should head to her SoundCloud page for contest details. Bibi burst out as a solo artist with the critically acclaimed track "Ego" whose October release was followed by a December video premiere. The song has charted globally at #4 on the Spotify Viral 50, and on 12 independent country charts including the U.S. (at #3), Canada (#7), and the UK (#9). Bibi developed and produced the video herself, shooting in the streets of her hometown Berlin and casting friends and family members to give it an added personal touch. She was born into an artistic family - her father is the prolific jazz and Black Rock Coalition guitarist Jean-Paul Bourelly, of Haitian and American descent; and her mother, of Moroccan heritage, was the head of the Art Department at Berlin’s House of World Culture. Her decision to immigrate to the U.S. in high school eventually brought her to Los Angeles, where her music career took off. She has now written for the likes of Rihanna (4 tracks including “Bitch Better Have My Money,” “Higher,” “Pose” and “Yeah, I Said It”); Selena Gomez (“Camouflage”); Usher & Nas (“Chains,” and Usher’s upcoming new single); and Nick Brewer (“Talk To Me” featuring Bibi Bourelly). Bibi was introduced to New York fans when she joined Usher and Nas on “Chains” at the October 20th Tidal X marathon benefit concert at Barclays Center in Brooklyn; their live performance was featured later that same night on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!
