30 April 2018 (Toronto, ON) – Platinum selling indie-pop singer, songwriter and musician BØRNS has announced his fall 2018 North American headline tour. With two Canadian dates in Montreal and Vancouver, the tour arrives in support of his sophomore album, Blue Madonna, released in January 2018 via Interscope Records/Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company. Fresh off performing at Coachella this month BØRNS has a handful of additional festivals – Common Ground, Lollapalooza, Osheaga to name a few – this summer before embarking on a fall headline tour which kicks off September 17 in Orlando, FL at Beacham Theatre. These dates will feature selections from his debut album Dopamine as well as material from his current album Blue Madonna. BØRNS will be joined by special guest Twin Shadow, the recording project of George Lewis Jr. Fresh off the release of his new album Caer, Twin Shadow is currently finishing a tour that sees Lewis Jr. playing sold out headlining shows as well as supporting Beck on selected dates
Soon after moving to Los Angeles at age 21, BØRNS connected with producer Tommy English through a mutual friend and started working on his 2014 debut EP, Candy. His debut full-length Dopamine was released in the fall of 2015 to rave reviews with the Associated Press calling it “some of the most heartfelt electronic-based music in recent memory,” while Spin noted that BØRNS “writes brilliant pop songs that worm their way into your heart in an instant.” Following the smash success of platinum-selling single “Electric Love” BØRNS has performed at major festivals in addition to headlining a sold-out theater tour in 2016.
