North American Headline Tour Kicks Off August 1, Includes Three Canadian Dates

24 JUNE 2016 (Toronto, ON) –  Broods'  new album, Conscious, featuring lead single Free plus Heartlines, which Broods co-wrote with Lorde, is released today via Capitol/Universal Music Canada, the country's leading music company. In celebration, the band will be in Hollywood tonight for an intimate performance of songs from Conscious at Capitol Records' historic Studio A, live streamed at 8:00pm PT / 11:00pm ET at Broods' website. The New Zealand duo, composed of Georgia and brother Caleb Nott, will kick off a North American headline tour in support of Conscious on August 1, which includes Canadian dates August 4, 6, and 16 in Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver, respectively. Following their debut album, Evergreen, Conscious leads with the anthemic first single, Free, which is already in the Top 30 at Alternative radio. The track also has over seven million streams worldwide on Spotify (nearly 10 million streams worldwide across all platforms) and has been certified Gold in Australia and New Zealand. The official video for Free, which has more than one million views, can be seen HERE. Fans can also view the band’s performance of the song on “The Late Late Show with James Corden” HERE. NPR hailed Heartlines, which Broods co-wrote with fellow New Zealanders Lorde and Joel Little, as “a bubbly, revelatory dance track…soon to be a summer anthem.” Pigeons & Planes observed, “Heartlines works wonders with Georgia Nott’s crisp voice and Caleb Nott’s well-constructed production.” MTV called itan instantly satisfying song to obsess over” and Idolator praised its “bright, cinematic flair.” The album also includes Freak of Nature, a darkly personal ballad about embracing and overcoming your own personal demons, which features Tove Lo on vocals.
