(26 July 2013 – Toronto, ON) – After an overwhelming response to Dragonette’s Beatport remix contest to remix their hit single “My Legs”, the band will release a My Legs remix EP of their favourite submissions on August 20 via Universal Music Canada (UMC), the country’s leading music company. The contest’s grand prize winner, DJ/producer, Fed Conti, initially had his version released on Dragonette Records in an exclusive remix package available on Beatport. His version, along with other favourites chosen by Dragonette, will now be released on the My Legs remix EP via UMC. Conti’s remix was also named ‘Pick of the Week’ by Billboard.com and debuted in the Beatport Top 100 Electro House chart. Always pushing the envelope and redefining electronic music, the Juno Award-winning trio continues to do so with My Legs. In the past, they have worked with big name producers like Laid Back to re-work their self-described basement pop into pulsating nightclub anthems. This time around, the band worked with three relatively unknown producers with three distinct sounds. Producer Milk N Cookies’ reworks frontwoman Martina Sorbara’s vocals with precision while Eric Jadi reminds us that the foundation of all music is the piano. The successful debut of “My Legs” the single, proves that this EP is sure to light up the second half of summer. Dragonette wrap up tour support for their 2012 release Bodyparts in Canada this summer.
