6 JULY 2016 (Toronto, ON) – Juno award winning rock band Sam Roberts Band today unleash their new single, “If You Want It”, via Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company. The track, available for digital purchase HERE, has garnered an exclusive global premiere with Apple Beats 1 and The Strombo Show this past Saturday. The episode, labeled Takeover: The New Canada – Ep. 1: The Stombo Show aired July 2, timed to celebrate Canada Day long weekend. Listen to the episode HERE. “If You Want It” sets the tone for the forthcoming Sam Roberts Band studio album, set to release later this year. The new track is written by Sam Roberts and produced by Graham Walsh and Roberts at the Bathouse Recording Studios (Bath, On). The tune captures what Sam Roberts Band does best; creative instrumental melodies and memorable lyrics that allow their listeners to interpret their own meanings from the songs. And in Sam’s own words: "It's about a trip to Hell... And hopefully back...” The acclaimed Montreal based five-piece band includes Sam Roberts (lead vocals, guitar), Dave Nugent (guitar), Eric Fares (keyboard, guitar), Josh Trager (drums), and James Hall (bass).
